Has anyone converted manual hydraulic steering to power assist hydraulic steering?

I looked into it, but decided against it based on the advice of the service manager at our dealer. He is a friend and has helped me with my boats for 20 years and even though the power assist add-on would have been a revenue generator for them, they just won't advise it because of problems and leaks.

I have it on my 44 and love it I'm just checking into it for a friend. Doesn't look too complicated.
