Any idea of release date?

I'm not a native speaker, but assume that forum section Bennett Trim Tabs Vendor Forum is the correct place for such question. Not asking where to buy or price, just simple release/shipping date. Assume info is interesting for more CSR members.

I am sure that Tom will help you out with your querie roberteb. Just speaking for myself here, but I do not find your parts shipping date interesting information. Perhaps others are sitting on the edge of their seats though.

Robert,

The ATC PRO is undergoing extensive testing with several boat builders right now. Shipping dates may be as late as this Fall.

P.S. This is the right place for that type of question :) It is a very upgraded version of our ATC and it makes sense to see if you want to wait for it if you are considering installing an Auto Tab Control.

Don't find the question interesting, but the product is cool as heck. Thanks.

Tom ,do you think the pricing will be substantialy higher than the current atc model?

Please please test it in really jerky boats like a 2006 or newer 240 sundancer . I have the atc on Board but it fails on my boat , too slow in response on my boat. Still impressed with bennetts quality and customer care i would go for the pro if its proved that it really works on ny boat, hate to work the tabs every minute on my boat.

I apologize to Bennet for posting this in their forum, but if you've got a problematic hull, a 3rd party controller may do better.

Panbo recently posted their long term review on Mente's unit. It's more sophisticated than Bennets (it even includes a gps for low speed retraction, not just key off) but also significantly more costly.

The Auto Tab Pro features the ability to configure response time to engine power, hull type, actuator type or trim tab size. The AC3000 (current system) did not have this ability. So the Pro will do a better job on "problematic hulls".

We do not feel the need for the added complexity (and expense) of having a GPS interface for low speed retraction. As a boat falls off plane at lower speeds the bow lowers and the system retracts the Tabs. Our systems have always had a quicker response time for a bow down attitude than any other change, it works really well!

As I mentioned in the last post the new Auto Trim Pro is a big upgrade from the last system.
ATP

It is quite "sophisticated", it combines all these features into one compact keypad:

Auto Trim Tab Control Easily store 2 favorite automatic running attitudes in memory. See real-time AutoTrim Pro adjustments with LED indication

Manual Tab Control with Automatic Override Just push anywhere on the bow up or down buttons and you’re in full manual command of the trim

Configure response time to engine power, hull type, actuator type or trim tab size

Trim Tab Position Indication L.E.D. indicators equipped with adjustable light intensityOne-touch

Full Up and Full Down Buttons Down for hole-shot, up for running in a following sea, or coming into the beach

Automatic Tab Retraction Retract trim tabs to full up position when the boat’s ignition is switched off, protecting tabs during storage and trailering.

Hot does the system know the actual trim tab position?

is the Installation similar to the atc or completely different ?

On our hydraulic systems it uses sensors installed in the actuators, and on our electric systems it "counts" pulses from the spinning motors.

The rest of the installation will be similar to the current ATC.

Hi Tom,

Still very interested in the Autotrim Pro, but a bit confused. As you mentioned above, for hydraulic systems, the tab position is measured by sensors on actuators. I'm also looking to install nmea2000, but understand I have to place sensor rods. Why is this needed?

I hope you make me happy and tell me that Autotrim Pro will be nmea2000!

While I agree that the 240 is a bit jerky, I had to laugh at this after spending last week on a 23' center console with 4 200lb guys on it chasing fish. That's the real market for this.

So for the OEM system on Saint Max (1999 330 Dancer) new rams will be required?

Recently called Bennett and was told the Auto Tab Pro won't be released until 2017 due to issues during testing. It will be NMEA2000 and will not need sensor rods installed in existing actuators.
