I need to replace the belts on my 89 Sea Ray 340. The problem is removing the raw water belt, there is no cam adjustment like that on my 92 270. One suggestion was just remove the 4 bolts on the pulley and remove. Problem is getting it back on - forcing it on is not going to be fun as most know there is no room and one has to be multi-joined just to "feel" around the engines. How can this be done without redesigning the whole system:huh:

There was no room in my Formula, so I pulled the pulley bolts off. It came off and went back on easily enough.

Thanks for "heads, down". I knew there was an adjustment arm, just could not "feel" it. I had an idea to get a rather large mirror, larger than a hand held one and see if I can place it in front of the brackets. If that does not work then using the digital camera I may be able take a shot of it. If I knew where it is then I can get a socket on it. If all this does not work then I'm with 390X, remove the bolts!

Looks like you have got some good advice on the pump... I have not seen one like what you are dealing with. Mine was simple (as far as actually wrenching) to remove. What do you have planned for the boat this weekend???
