I'm replacing the gauges in my 1989 160, do I also need to get all new senders? I hope not causes that's out of the budget :smt009

Need more info. Is this a new engine with electronics or an older engine with manual senders?

What is your final objective? Do you want gauges for information purposes, or do you want to bring her back to original?

Same 3.0 merc that the boat came with. Original gauges are in the boat currently. The original gauges are all dull and faded and I want to replace with new gauges just for looks. I would of course like them to function too!

If you stay with the same manf, then you don't need new senders. As previously stated. I updated mine last year, with new Searay gauges from the great lakes skipper as well

Any gauges from Faria, Teleflex will work as they're the same impedence. There's nothing special about a "Sea Ray" gauge...
Stay away from VDO as they require their own senders.

You can find them anywhere, including Defender.com- in a full "set" of six gauges.

Nope nothing special about Searay gauges....mine r made by teleflex same as the original gauges. But it is nice to have the Searay symbol on them
