We have the same boat. No cabin lights without house battery. On shore power i just plug in a trouble light.

On the main circuit board at the bottom there is a circuit named converter is that battery charger. the very bottom one on mine has no name does yours?

Not in mine, but might have a hard time fitting with the twin v8s. I thinking about carrying a small Honda with me.
