I remembere those BMW engines in silver!!! they were trendy before Volvo introduced the duoprop!!!

Same here in Italy, many 300 with Volvos, inboard and O/I... but I never saw one with single engine!

Do you have any pictures of that engine installation? I'm very interested in how they mounted and attached everything. Do you have oudrives or v-drives behind that diesel?

My 86 weekender had a beige interrior and looked great in 1986. Your 86 still looks great too. It's pretty amazing to see some of the original colors in SRs from that era. What were they smoking????

Out drives are external drives like a VP, OMC Cobra or a Merc Alpha drive like on my 88 300da. Vdrives have a transmission, shafts, prop and a rudder.

Being serious...have you experienced problems with your Volvo's intercooler??? I had a boat with same age 4 cylinder Volvos and the intercoolers kept leaking and the turbos always fouled...:smt089

the engine is fully renovated,, sandblasted and repainted and i have fitted a new turbo,
