G’morning all- I wonder if anyone can offer insight as to how the heck to remove this step / seat that is adjacent to the v-berth in my 340? As you can see it’s filthy and in redoing the v-berth bolsters I’d love to be able to match this up. I’ve tried exploring through the cabinet on the left to no avail....Help!

Disregard. Brute force dislodged the cushion and I’d found the plywood was somehow screwed down to the base... from inside the cushion... strange but at least I’ve now got it out and headed to the seamstress to make a matching piece.

If these were like mine on my 340SDA they were screwed in from the sides through the plywood allowing the screw head to pierce the material where it would not be seen leaving the head inside the foam (I guess they never planned on removing this). I had to pry up and cut the screws to gain access to this area.

Exactly. I can see where “they” pierced the forward side of the cushion but the aft portion was clearly screwed down with no puncture of the material. Wacky. It will retrofit snugly enough that I intend on leaving it free floating.
Cheers!

If there is indeed storage room below, an easy way to make the cushion stay put is to put a cleat on the backside that slips down inside the cubby front edge to keep the cushion from sliding out without a slight lift.
