Love the color….Blue!
I had one of these. Didn't like the cars but in the late 80's I was working at an auto parts store and a kid had a red '66 that came in all the time. I had a 1978 GMC 1500 short bed 4x4 that I was gonna sell. He came in telling me he wanted to sell the Chevy II and get a truck. My thought was that it would be easier to sell the Chevy II so we traded. Next day me and my buddy that was just on Street Outlaws drove it to his buddies house 50 miles away. His buddy had a 1980's Ford EXP with a 509 BBC that ran 8's on street tires and through the mufflers. 100% street legal and he actually drove it. Drove it back home and decided to build a racecar. Called and ordered an Alston tube chassis and started tearing it apart. Never touched it again...lol. Made a 3 way trade with the Street Outlaws buddy and another guy we knew. I ended up with the '57 my buddy had, my 1988 Monte Carlo SS and Chevy II went to the other guy. That guy gave cash to my buddy and I sold the Alston chassis to some stranger...lol. Kept the '57 for a few years then put it on eBay. Guy from Sweden flew over and bought it. I had to tow it to Elizabeth, NJ to have it shipped. That was 2003.
Man that is a good looking car! I'm building a Pro Street Car like that right now. Lots of time it's taking.Nice. My 67 was more go than show. View attachment 140292
Curious about your repairs on a 140000 mile Porsche. Any issues other than routine service assuming you did all that the owner manual said to do?
Great pic…. Congratulations !!Well, we got our TA2 deal done and will be running the 2023 Trans Am season. Here are some photos from this weekend at Sebring. The clutch kept failing on the car under full power so my son literally got no laps through qualifying. And, he has never even driven one of these. Through lots of convincing, they let him run the race, he started at the back and made it up to 21st, advancing 20 positions making him the hard charger for the race. The kid just blows me away what he does. I'm getting my new Porsche in a week. I can't get over how small it is compared to other cars. Pictures coming.Just got a new Escalade (pics coming) - I can't get over how much bigger it eas than my 2006 Denali.
At first I thought “that’s an ugly front for a Porsche” then I realized I was looking at the rear end!
Looks like coming around turn 10.
I always say when I'm at the boat and it rains: "I hate it when the boat gets wet"...for that beautiful car the same statement applies!!Just heard the car arrived early. Have not been to the dealer yet but they sent these pix. 4.0 liter flat six normally aspirated. Makes just shy of 400HP. This is the largest engine Porsche builds for a production Porsche.View attachment 140720View attachment 140721View attachment 140722View attachment 140723
