We won't be that warm until mid to late April. But it will be warm enough wash and wax. And get out on the lake for some cruises. So i was crying about 50 two days ago, 81 sunny today, my old lizard ass is loving it.
Seems to me California's got enough water. But I guess Mead gets priority over Powell because of Vegas.Still snowing here in Utah. Snow pack has exceeded every year in the last 40 years when in 1983 we had flooding and Lake Powell filled to the top of the damn. We are loving the snow pack however we are all wanting spring.
Just hope it doesn't warm up to fast our we will lose the snow pack to fast.
Sadly though out of all the runoff lake powell will get they are talking about only retaining around 10% of it and letting the rest flow downstream into Nevada and California.
Gotta get those potatoes going. I'm a meat and potatoes guys. Sitting drying out from walking the dog. Got out with it just sprinkling. Going to be wet all day around here. High winds, too. Gale warnings posted for the lakes.Last Wednesday the 15th, I reported that we had 253" total snowfall for the year up on Bogus. We're currently sitting at 270", and it ain't over yet. That's as compared to an average snow-year total of 143"! Next thing you know, the farmers will be complaining about the ground being too wet to plant.
We're about average snowfall so far, won't be much more. Up on the Keweenaw Peninsula in Lake Superior they're at their average of 240", record was winter 78-79...390".Last Wednesday the 15th, I reported that we had 253" total snowfall for the year up on Bogus. It is now up almost 6 feet. That's a lot of water in a 55,000 acre lake with 850 miles of shoreline. Our lake rose 3.5 feet yesterday. It went from below normal pool to opening the floodgates in less than 24 hours. The corps is also producing power at mid summer levels. Thankfully it was just rain and not snow.
The hope with all Southern california watersheds full that not much has to go to them and the majority goes to lake mead.Seems to me California's got enough water. But I guess Mead gets priority over Powell because of Vegas.

The water rights for upper and lower Colorado river shares are under a huge debate for the last five years.
My guess is we will send water south this year and hold it back the next three years.
