Ya I understand. My Dad sort of thought I was two people the last couple years, one he liked and the other he didn't, sometimes made me feel really bad. Of course sometimes he didn't know who I was at all, he knew he knew me but didn't know why.Wow, thats young - sorry to hear that. I visit him often, its just tough to see him this way.

It's not really as hard on them as it is on us. I continue to visit and call him everyday. I call the nurses station first as he is not always sure what to do with the phone when it rings. We really do treat our animals better than we do the elderly with dementia.Ya I understand. funny how this whole covid thing just dissapeared. My SIL has walking pneumonia, she went to the dr and asked if they could test her for COVID, her dr told her that they weren’t testing for that anymore, just treating symptoms.
More proof of the lies…funny how this whole covid thing just dissapeared.
Don't worry, Alnav should be along any minute now with the statistics to steer us on the straight and narrow.More proof of the lies…

I hope my memories of him won't be his final year's.That is about the only good thing that can be said about this miserable disease.
After a while, you're absolutely correct. My mother passed from dementia ~5 years ago and for the last several, mentally she was basically like a toddler. She just didn't know anything was wrong.
I hope my memories of him won't be his final year's.
It doesnt work like that over time.
My father died in his 60's from complications of high sugar and lung issues, It was a slow process to where our last year was talking to a contraption in intensive care.
For a while, I thought of that, but soon after, I always seem to think of the out of the norm things we shared.
By default I seem to think of him giving me one of his beers at 2 am, when I was 13, when we were stuck on a sandbar in his Owens cabin cruiser, till the coast guard carried me to their boat.
handing me 500 bux for a Dodge Challenger Rallye when I was 17.
Building a spec house, letting me take the lead.
And so many more events, I think its just human nature to look to the positive.
@MonacoMike - I am not discrediting the claims in the article because I haven’t researched it, however IMO, the Gateway Pundit has steered me in the wrong direction in the past. They seem to over-inflate the truth much like the leftist rags over-inflate the lies. Don’t be like the others that regurgitate garbage and claim it as truth.“During the interview, Walensky said she learned COVID vaccines were effective from watching CNN. She also admitted health officials relied too heavily on vaccines as a “cure-all” of sorts for COVID, and said vaccine makers didn’t warn the agency that the vaccines would be less effective against potential variants.”
