I need to learn of these places now that we have a boat to explore the bay. I'd be a little nervous heading into these places not knowing the waters, specific marinas and the surrounding town.

Best recommendation for our first trip? Will be heading south from the C&D Canal. Can either be a day trip or preferably overnight at the marina.

Exploring new areas and marinas is the fun part for me. I believe from FB posts that you're coming out of BoVista or Two Rivers, I'm next door at BoBay. If you're looking for a neat town, Havre de Grace is a cool place to explore and only about a 45 minute run. If you're looking for fun and aren't afraid of the inlet, then Great Oaks would be a good choice after Memorial Day.
