Would you roll your eyes if I pulled these out to serve lunch/dinner on?

Go for it Karen! I would imagine the food on them would be killer anyway. Where's the wine glasses? lol

I don't care what they looked like if you were serving the food.

I'm in the "roll eyes" crowd.

Plain white porcelain dishes are the classiest.

Lunch? Well, so far it's been lunch at the Harbor View in Cape May (blch twice!) and Coconut Cove in North Wildwood.
OR we grill burgers, chicken, ribs, steak and the occasional token hot dog
Pasta salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, fruit salad.
Beer of all varieties
Junebugs (my personal favorite and a hit with the sweet girly drink crowd)
White wine

Ok... I'll bet you a beer that the same food served on cheap gaudy plates tastes far worse than when served on white porcelain.

You probably grill on a magma so it doesn't matter.

I grill on a deck at the house :)
And I told you! I'm a klutz! They will be broken in less than a week!

Karen, I'll take a baloney sandwich with peperoni & swiss cheese with hot mustard.....On a paper plate. :smt001

Put it on one of those plastic tacky plates, and it'll taste AWESOME!!!!

OK OK! I get it...you're a fan of plain white porcelain plates...In my defense...I can cook the hell out of anything...I didn't get fat eating shi**y food!
You, Me, Grill....It's on!

Gary, most of the time I like you. BUT....I LOVE my Magma grill!! One of the best things we added to the boat. Never grilled with a Solaire, so I can't knock it. But, until my Magma lets me down, I'll stick with it! We are also in the cheap white plate club. I think the dishes Karen showed are nice looking, but we'll probably stick with cheap white. To answer the original question I don't think I'd roll my eyes. Feed me and we'll find out!!

Where do you get those plates? Do you have to like hit the Saturday morning garage sale circuit in Detroit? Looks like something my mother bought... in 1964.
