Hello folks:

My '79 Sundancer 260 has several wires running to the accessory battery (for VHF radio, stereo, fish finder, etc)......should I clean them up by installing a terminal block, or is it OK to have several wires on this battery's terminals?

Any time you can clean up and chart wiring the better. Just check your fuses and adjust your mod as such. IE, never put a larger fuse in the chain than the maximum trip draw of any 1 device.

Darn Spookeay, fiberglass work, wood work, engine work, electrical systems, power tools, bikinni, etc, etc. You'd make someone a good wife.

I installed this fused terminal block for some extra 12v circuits (TV and some 12v plugs).
It is in a sealed compartment in my mid cabin. I feed it with an 8g wire from the battery switch and a 8g wire from ground.

Haha... you know... I was kinda thinking the same thing.

Except that I could envision fist fights over who gets to use which power tool and when. On second thought, I need to preserve the order, peace, sanctity, and solutide that can only be found in 2 places - my workshop, and my bildge.

It's always better to only have one connection at a time. Battery connections have the additional issue of corrosion. I suggest that going to the extra steps and adding the terminal block will be a big asset in the future. Be sure to protect the terminals from accidental shorting. Some blocks have a clear cover to install after hookup.

No... I don't think so. Raise a hand to a woman like this and you'll likely get pistol whipped and put in your place.
