Terrible Ted.

Dave-

I was Teds Lighting Designer in the US and his Lighting Director in Europe when he opened up for Judas Priest. I actually got to play golf with the two guitarists from Priest when we had a day off in Niece. That was fun!

Early 80's, I think.

What I remember the most about see him at the old Boston Garden was how LOUD he was, an hour after the show you could still feel your cloths moving.
:wow:

Ted doesn't sugar coat nothing, love it.....you wanna talk about how times have changed? When I was in high school 1976 (I was 16), instead of spring break, we had this thing call interim. Our high school would divide up into groups depending on interests....some planted trees, others did community projects.

My shop teacher was a shooting enthusiast, he set up a field trip to a trap and skeet range that required parental consent (and no ammo). On the day of the field trip, I carried my Winchester Model 97 (in a case) on the school bus and rode to school with a shot gun (no ammo was allowed)....carried the gun into school and met 14 other like minded school kids awaiting our bus ride to the gun club. No one took their gun out of the case...we bought discounted shells at the gun club, and was required to shoot everyone we bought. It was a great memeory. My shop teacher could throw a penny in the air and shoot it with a pellet gun.

Wow, how times have changed....kids can't even carry a pocket knife into some schools.

I just read Skibum's post....right on!
My son went to school in Missoula, MT. It sure was different hearing them tell him how to sign his gun in and out if he had one.

Well, I think Ted did originate the "If its too loud your too Old" quote.

I am certainly Too Old.

I was raised in the UK, where even the police didnt carry guns until a few years ago (even now its less than 1%). the only time we saw guns was in war movies.
The first time i saw a gun in real life was an at an airport in a place called Doha. It was a sub-machine gun and it was carried by a para-military policeman. It scared the **** out of me.
All my life I have been an opponent to the right to carry guns - until these last few years. It's a bad world out there now. More freaks per square mile than ever in my life time - and they don't have even the most basic morals or principles. No boundaries. Drugs have removed their humanity in most cases. (And i dont mean weed - nothing wrong with that)
I live in Spain in a very peaceful area, with little crime, thank God. But if I was able, I would have a gun in the house. I have always believed in direct action and I was impressed by the arguments the gentleman in the video put forward.

If a member of my family was threatened I would blow the scum away without a thought nor any subsequent regret.

The stakes are too high to let these people take over.[/quote]

Ironic, then, that your hero B-Rock O wants to take that right away.:smt009 Not trying to start a fight, I'm just sayin'.

Similar experience here in 1978! I had a shotgun in my pickup gun rack in the school parking lot, and nobody said anything!

If...._________...you might be a redneck!
