The 2022 springtime Shine Thread

When I put her away in November, the hull is shined, the upholstery is polished, the gas tank is filled and stabilized, the battery is topped off and the cover is cinched down tight after putting in indoor storage.

All I need to do is drive to the launch ramp come spring.

Springtime shine = Falltime shine.

Springtime shine = Falltime shine.
I too wash the boat down when we pull for the season then use a cleaner/wax (one step 3M or Meguire's) before the shrink wrap goes on for the winter. SO the question is I've always wanted to really get after it come Spring and take it beyond the cleaner/ wax.

3m owns Meguires ,,, all the same stuff now

Pay the $35 a foot...

I had three half ass f***wit detailers that all came highly recommended leave me totally disappointed this year before I finally ponied up like I should have in the first place
Same guy charged me $12 2 years ago. He has 10 crews so not a small operation. I understand increased wages, inflation etc. But 200%?

So close to the finish line. Just need to bucket wash her and then the collinite fleet wax. That is the nice thing about heated storage is being able to peck away at this. Surely a shoulder saver.

My crew does mine third week of April. $60 a foot. Keep in mind they have to drive 300 miles one way to get to the boat and put themselves up in a hotel room.
They off set that by doing ten boats in 7 days.
All in all they are doing 340 feet of boats with a crew of four. They will gross 20k in seven days. All boats in the water. For my boat it is from the water line to the hardtop and the cockpit.
Good thing they are all in there late twenties. They plan on working 12 to 14 hours a day.

All I care about is they will be doing mine first :)!

Ill take it off your hands for 20 bucks.
My comment wasn't an ad to sell. I was merely pointing out that nobody seems to want those things any more.

As evidenced by this thread, many prefer to pay the price rather than expense some elbowgrease.

Well, if you want to sell it, I will buy it. I enjoy making the old girl shine.

I have one of those and never used it. Like new. It has been on Marketplace AND CL for months now and have not had one single inquiry. And I only want 20 bucks...
Well, there's your problem. Nobody wants an "oribtal" polisher!

Finally, I blame @Stray Current's picture of his dog hanging upside-down over the gunwale for my mind acting the way it does.

Send me the link, I will buy it and return this one. I bought it for my weekend driver car, I repainted/clear coated part of the bumper and need to buff it out. The drill is not getting enough speed.

Ooops, just saw @Great lakes pirate beat me to it.
