You should have 3 A/C units. Salon, master stateroom and a guest stateroom. There should be three controllers and three switches on the main panel.

Shoyrtt- I have 2 controllers and the Master stateroom A/C feeds the master and guest stateroom on my 450 EB. Not sure why the difference between models. Maybe the 3 controllers is for 3 stateroom models??? I will look for the A/C outlet by fridge. I've pulled the fridge out for cleaning and didn't see ducting behind.

Forrestkk- I think the plug is missing!?!? Purchased 2 plugs of different sizes! One too small, one too Big, still searching for one just right! o_O

Dan,
The 3 stateroom model has the main A/C unit for the salon in the hatch near the stairs from the salon to the cockpit and the controller is on the wall between the sliding glass door and the main breaker/control panel.
The midship stateroom has the A/C unit under the bed and the controller is just inside the doorway to the room on the wall to the right as you walk in.
The master stateroom also has the A/C unit under the bed and the controller is on the port side near the large cedar lined closet.
I wonder if the large and lower seating area in the 2 stateroom model eliminated the space in the hull for the A/C and that is why you only have two units? Learning something new everyday!

Jim- All other A/C units and controls match. I do pop out the panel in aft STBD of salon to get better air flow. Thinking of modifying the panel (add slits like in master stateroom) and add ducting to better route the A/C in the salon. Winter project!!

Dan,
I wonder if the 2 stateroom model has a larger A/C unit under the bed in the midship stateroom and the controller for it and the salon area by the sliding glass door? I know your washer/dryer is under the stairs to the cockpit, whereas the 3 stateroom model has it tucked inside the 3rd stateroom.

The block is actually on the outside where your float switch and bilge hose are secured. Assuming it is some sort of additional material to provide thickness.

I'll get the scope out tomorrow and take an image. My box isn't nearly as nice as yours, but looks like it has a PN on the side in marker.

Well, pretty sure my sump box has been repaired with some less than stellar work.

Assuming there was leak and starboard with some silicon was the answer...o_O

Are you planning to repair or replace the sump? I would love to move it maybe 6 to 8” forward to make servicing it a little easier. o_O

If I can find a new one I am going to replace. If I can't, I'll have to repair. Either way it is coming out. I agree on moving it forward, but not sure where I could move my spare props. Have to find somewhere wide enough. Maybe where the current central vac is? Like your idea of switching to a hand held.

Jim- I have 2 A/C units and the master stateroom is 7k BTU and the salon is 24k BTU. MSR unit does both staterooms and I can follow the ducting to both places. The salon unit only has ducting going to aft STBD corner of salon. I do not have a vent ivo the fridge.

Back to drain pan issue, the screw in plug on the aft side of pan is removed:mad:! WHY?!?!?!

My spare props are located below the deck where the laundry use to be! Not sure why previous owners removed?!?! Lots of storage there w/o laundry!

In 3 SR our laundry is in the aft stateroom. We use ours alot to dry towels. I am think of putting the props in the bow thruster area, but it is a bit narrower. We don't have a bow thruster and will likely use Sideshift if we ever install one.

If I can move the props, that chest is going right under that hatch.

Heard back from Flounder Pounder, they said no dice, check with Dometic.

Maybe they forgot to install it originally.
My new A/C came with all the plugs/fittings and I had to configure for the boat.

If they did forget, it wouldn't have been apparent for hours after they ops checked it and left the boat, and if your previous owner never looked in there, like mine, would take a lot of condensate to fill that up before anyone noticed.

Worked the Qtip in the wing scuppers. More of a weep hole than a scupper. Good idea and not totally clogged.

I'd like to see a picture of your storage area w/o the legendary "Splendee 2000".

My slip neighbor about 20 boats away from me, owns Midnight Bliss, a 450EB that I posted some exterior pictures of earlier in the thread. I met him the other day and he converted his third stateroom into a full pantry. I didn't get to see it, but he invited me to take a look in the future. It is interesting to see how everyone customizes their boats.

Here's mine, ex the "legendary", lol. Don't have one, don't care to. Cab doors open, see a pack of life vests (more on the bridge), set of sheets, 2 cushions that snap in the dinghy, and a stuff sack with several foul weather type rain gear outfits. Upper cab full of manuals, some obsolete equip just haven't trashed yet. Somehow able to keep the lower cab bottom area free for guest stowage such as kids backpacks. Also, just today, took out the mid-SR TV, wasn't hooked up anyway for extra guest space there. Turns out, the fwd-SR TV just died, so I replaced it with the one from mid-SR. Fwd TV has a air antenna sheet I got from Amazon. Works pretty well for airwave TV. Salon TV has a Firestick with apps including DirecTV Stream we have at home. Works very well. Sorry pic is sideways. I rotated it a couple directions & upload still went sideways.

Thanks Jack! Without the Splendee 2000 (I just like saying that) there is a lot of room there for storage! Like Kevin, we use ours to dry towels almost every trip so it stays until further notice from the Admiral.

I have found the best way to make sure the picture is posted straight is to use your phone and edit the picture. I usually crop it a little bit on the top or the bottom. I can do it on my office PC, but it takes a few extra steps.

I could try crop as you suggest. What didn't work was flipping the image sideways, then upload. All cell for time being. Planning to snap a few below cabin floor images when can get to it.

Rainbow on Captiva Island. Full moon tide was lapping on bottom of dock, now low tide or almost, about 2.5' lower. Fixed dock means watching the lines closely

Hi All, just a few comments from me. We ditched the central vac also and got a Dyson. The gained space in the floor locker is amazing, plus losing the hose, this was a great space saver. Plus, the Dyson is much better, easier to use, etc. A highly recommended change.

I put a flat screen TV on the door for the old TV in the master. In that space where the original TV was, I mounted the "head" of the Dyson for storage/charging. The stick end I keep in the master hang up locker. Very quick & easy to clean up. That area is also the "dirty clothes" locker.

I hear you on the head sump box. What a pain. When the original float switched failed, I had to abandon it and create a mount for a new float switch. It works, but I'm dreading the day that pump gives out......

As for the washer/dryer, we use ours all the time. Almost everyday when we are cruising. For towels, shorts, swim suites, etc. You have to learn how to use it correctly for good results (i.e. don't over load it). It broke 2 years ago. Replaced it with a new Splendid. Very happy, works much better. Maybe it is just different styles of boating.

As I was poking around below cabin level and snapped 4 pics; forward SR, hallway, salon hatch at fridge, salon hatch aft.
Fwd SR: bow thruster (apparent install prev owner)
Hallway: bow thruster batteries, box of parts, jump cables and grey water sump.
Fridge front floor: central vac, small box storage, hot water heater inboard side panel, cockpit surround curtains (since acquisition, not even spread out to view. Cockpit Stamoid cover has busted, missing or frozen zippers to even attempt trying to attach surround pieces. Predominantly in SW Florida, I don't envision needing these.
Salon hatch aft: salon A/C, A/C condensate sump, Magma cockpit rod-holder grill.

I don't have pictures to share at the moment, but here are my thoughts on your boat vs. mine:
Fwd SR: No bow thruster on my boat. I really like your set up. That is a neat modification. We use our Fwd hatch for wine storage. :D
Hallway: I think if you pulled the box of filters and everything except for the batteries you might be able to squeeze in there like the rest of to clean that sump. Or employ one of your grandchildren. It's that rough. o_O
Fridge hatch: Once again, we pulled that central vacuum which also allows for a little extra storage just forward of where it was. Just a thought, you could relocate your thruster batteries to that forward location to clear up room for your sump box. On our boat I have a wet vacuum and a dehumidifier stored to the aft of where the central vacuum was and in the little side pockets to port, I store brushes and caulking and other small items.
Salon hatch aft: I only have the A/C and the sump in there. Nothing else stored.
Thanks for the pictures!
