This Old Garage: Show us your garage

Make sure that BSR sub from DAK has satellite speakers hooked up so you don't fry all of your components! It booms until your amp, pre-amp, and equalizer go boom! If you don't run satellites make sure you hook up some resisters to the crossover.

Is my sub the same as yours? Don’t mind the Music man guitar amp. I use my BSR sub as a table now.

I dont think the sub is the same. Mine has a beveled top edge and about 2 inches of foam around the bottom perimeter.
It's about 5 inches taller than it is wide. It's always been hooked to mains - initially to Advents and now the Snell acoustics.
It's currently blocked in by the admirals car or I would take a pic! Mine doubles as a shelf - it has the carwash items on it and a step stool leaning against it! :)

What kind of weight can you hang on the center I beam? Very nice feature.
I do not know what the rating would be, it has a 2 ton hoist on it now, my son uses it to move his jet skis from his trailer to a roll around cart, thats probably the heaviest thing we have hung from it. If I ever have to pull the engine out of the boat it will for sure come in handy

I'm embarrassed to show the floor in mine. Whoever poured the concrete either didn't put a good base down or the foundation radically shifted. Methinks it's the former. I am looking to add 10' off of the back to fit more toys and add a heated shop. When that happens, I'll have them tear out the existing concrete and rep-pour everything. It's currently 24' x 32'.

Down south I had a 55" TV and surround sound in my garage. Not the case up north. If I decide to blow some more cash on this house I'll get insulated garage doors, insulate the ceiling and put some sort of heating system in it. Then I'll put a TV in there and maybe figure out a way to get a golf simulator in it, too.

Without photos nothing counts, but I can’t. The shop and garage are not mine. Leon’s shop is a close comparison. I love working for this client and I’m not going to risk it here, but OMG! Stunning shop, stunning garage! Everything folks would want

Depending on the type of soil you have. No matter what kind of base they put in the ground is going to shift when it freezes. I have heavy soil so I have never let my garage get below freezing.

I'm not sure. The driveway and sidewalks are stamped concrete to look like brick, and is doing great. Has a couple cracks, but mainly in the grooves. The garage has no grooves in the slab. By the work bench area it's split and heaved, probably a 1/2" and about 5' long. Looks awful. I put a grill pad over the top so you don't see it, or trip over it. Chalk it up as another project - nothing money cant fix.

edit: The original septic system was over there. That could be part of the problem.

Trying again since my pictures didn’t attach yesterday.

Nothing special because I’m back in a rental but at least it’s deep enough to fit a CCSB and has a half a bay worth of shop space with countertops a vice and a slop sink. Bonus points for having room for my triaxle behind it. And on the water!
