This summers gas prices....

I know its going up and its prob gonna go up a lot higher then what it is now... On land its like 3.89 a gallon I can only image what's its going to be on the water....

How long is it going to take to go down again... And is it ever going to go back down to the lower 3 dollar range again....

There's a small mom and pop convenience store about a mile from home that for years has had the lowest price fuel in the area.

Today their price is $4.07. I filled up at Costco yesterday at $3.75. Today it's $3.89.

Ouch, that's $.14 per gallon increase in one day.

C'mon Brandon, open up the Keystone pipeline and let oil drillers open as many wells as they can.

All we need is supply to exceed demand and bam, the prices will go down. If geriatric Joe wants us to buy american shouldn't he be producing american oil.

Oh he cares. The higher the better for him. Makes him look like a genius pushing 'renewable' energy
Actually, renewable energy IS needed. But, cutting off current energy supplies before we get there is kinda stoopid.

Another fly in the ointment is the average citizen's push to NOT get renewable energy. It looks bad, the birdies will fly into it, it shines in my bedroom window?

Regardless, we are getting what he promised before the election. So if you voted for him you better be quiet and suck up the $8 a gallon price.

Personally, I voted for Ross Perot.

So you haven't voted since Hillay's boy toy became president?

And why do we "NEED" renewable energy besides virtue signaling?

Citing Ross was just my attempt at humor, since I truly believe that if he had won, history would have taken a different course.

Oil and gas are finite sources. How long will they last? 100 years?, 1000 years? I dunno. Renewable energy just makes common sense.

I knew you were joking as I was with Hiliary's boy toy. I too voted for Ross.
Renwables are a fine supplement to oil, but not a complete replacement IMHO.

I thought your comment was NOT a joke, since it was spot-on.

I have 2 RVs. One is 100% propane (lights and all) and its a constant chore to keep filling the tanks. The newer one is all electric / battery and it was a constant chore to run a gasoline generator to keep the battery charged.

Now, my new RV has a solar panel, and even though its in the woods and receives minimal sunlight, it stays fully charged and I have no need for a genny.

Ten years ago I would have said that solar and wind and those silly electric cars were folly. Its amazing how technology has grown. I don't know about complete replacement, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did down the road.

Of course the elements needed for your batteries are finite as well and mining is pretty bad for the environment. But nevermind.

Filled up in Ohio today for 3.79. Here in western PA it's 4.19. Diesel is 4.99

So that's simply talking out both sides of your mouth.

Oil is bad.
Batteries are bad.
We can't use oil because it pollutes.
We can't use solar because batteries are bad.

So, what do we do? hairikari? (sp)

Al Gore is the goto for ALL things environmental. Ever read his book? He touched on one subject, but only briefly. He should have emphasized it.

The problem on earth is that we have too many people. Energy use and climate change / pollution / carbon emissions are all proportional to the world population.

Buttttt, oh wait!!!! The pandemic. OMG, was this all a rouse to save the planet?

Doesn't matter. I've got 4 boats and I'll continue to suck gas until,it runs out.

LOL
