What kind of straps are the 270 DA owners using. What's the rating on them. I bought a 270 about 3 months ago. Trying to be sure I have the correct ones. Boat weighs about 8500.Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

It also depends on where you're trailering. Some states require transom tie downs.I never strapped my 270 down on the transom... nor I do the 310. If you hauling rough enough to need straps, then you shouldn't be hauling. It would take allot to move the rear end of a 9,000 pound boat off the trailer.

Geez.... they couldn't use the rubrail to prop the boat up...they had to use the port hole frame?I run 2" yellow straps on the rear of by boat. I doubt it will move without straps, But I would not take the chance.
Go over few bumps and I guarantee it will shift on the trailerI never strapped my 270 down on the transom... nor I do the 310. If you hauling rough enough to need straps, then you shouldn't be hauling. It would take allot to move the rear end of a 9,000 pound boat off the trailer.
