I have been turning on the A/C by just using the circuit breaker. However, I have been told this may not be the best way to turn on the unit; that first the circuit breaker should be turned on, and then the A/C should be turned on at the control panel. Of course, this would require the A/C to be turned off at the control panel after each use. Naturally I like my procedure better because it only requires one switch to be turned on. Does it make any difference how it's turned on?
