One of the SeaBlaze lights I had installed stopped working and the model I have seems to have been discontinued. It started gradually (only a few of the LEDS would light up) and now it’s completely dead. I checked the wiring and everything looks good there and the other one still works fine.
I’m thinking about having them both removed and replaced with brass drain plugs. Boatpluglight.com makes all sorts of different ones I could just screw in and reconnect with some quick connects. Has anyone ever done this? Good or bad idea?
I had the SeaBlazes installed because I was worried about messing it up. Now that the holes are already there I might attempt this myself. I’d have to fill in the 3 old screw holes and drill 3 new ones. What’s the best way to fill in the old ones? I’d also have to widen the middle wire hole to fit the drain plug. Would this be a fairly easy project or something I’m better off leaving to a professional? (If I do it at all)
Thanks.
