Going crazy trying to find a new vent window. I have a 2005 Sea Ray 320 Sundancer. The vent window shattered, and I've been searching for one over a month. Called Sea Ray, they want to sell me the whole middle window for $1K. I called Taylor Made who makes the window, they told me they don't have it.

REALLY!!!!!!

Is it curved or flat?

It looks flat to me. I have to view it from another boat. I don't have one at all. It's approximately 15-5/8" (width) and 11-1/8" (length).
It says: Taylor Made. Temp Safety Glass. AS2 M-6. DOT 61 3-03 Tint.
I even tried Taylor Made without any success.

The problem is the tint…. Look for local glass shops it’s a long shot but they might be able to duplicate it

In the mean time, I would get a piece of poly carbonite cut and installed. You never know when weather might turn up.

Flounder Pounder only has a 300DA windshield that is close and your year.

Yes a glass shop should be able to cut and drill holes for you in a piece of glass. It won't be tempered or safety glass but should be fine for that small window. You are going to need to make them a template as I doubt they will go to your boat to measure. Good luck.

I would not use normal plate glass, but a glass shop should be able to make you a safety glass piece and drill the holes.

A story about using the wrong glass. My sister and BIY sold their townhouse, and the new owners wanted to do a bathroom reno. My sister heard from their old neighbors that one of the contractors was nearly killed when they were taking the old glass from the shower out of the house. The guy was carrying a wall pane out the front door using suction grips, and touched the edge on the concrete, and it shattered in shards and raked his side and severely cut his arm. Nearly amputated it. (FYI it was not my sister and BIY that did the prior reno, they had no idea that the original installers had not used proper safety glass, and were thankful nothing happened in the 3 years they showered in that shower). Anyway, plate glass does not belong on a boat IMO.

Yes, I seen that and asked about the vent window. They said they won't part it out. I have to buy the whole windshield; I only need the vent window.

This has come up a few times in the last couple of years. I don’t recall if any of them actually posted their solution. Worth a search …. If you do find a solution post it here

Safety glass…aka tempered glass can only be cut and drilled with a laser cutter. Most glass shops do not have this tool so that’s why I said for a small window I personally would consider regular glass. To have it done correctly, designed cut and finished in tempered glass if you could find a place that would do it will cost you close to what you could buy the whole new window for probably.

I'd go with the closest (color) and safest (tempered safety glass or poly-carb) option. It still tells a "Sea Story" and you get to tell it any away you like.

Absolutely, however, I sincerely don't think I'm going to find one. I've contacted every salvage yard from the east coast to the west coast; north from Canada, south to Florida. NOTHING!

Make one….a glass shop can do it

Damn! All those china hutches I had doors cut by a local shop used a laser? I didn't know that little shop had lasers 30 years ago to cut tempered glass and put the hinge holes in them. And here I thought that grinding wheel was just a grinding wheel. Thanks.
