Refrigerator is installed, and a direct replacement for a 400DB.

My wife likes the match with the new microwave, mine is failing, microwave panel is not working. anymore
1) Did you have to do any adaptations or changes to fit the unit?
2) What about drain line on the back?
3) I understand you bought it from Defender, you like the service and price?
Are you happy with it, will you recommend it?

I don't have it long, so my review is limited. ....however I'm happy. It is bigger and colder than the Norcold. The freezer is much bigger. The coldest setting will freeze a water bottle in the fridge. It is whisper quiet too.....oh and the light in the fridge is awesome.
Installation requires new holes drilled, and make sure it is centered. I had to shim it 1/4" to catch one of the top screws.....hardly a problem. To my surprise, the drain lines were not in the way. The hard stuff IMO was removing the vinyl trim. I had a silicone bead between the stain less an vinyl that needed to be rebuilt. The unit is shipped with a right hand swing, and you'll need to reverse it. It's not too bad.
The only negative is the door latch. It is difficult to open, and seems a little flimsy. I have kids, and the sometimes they have trouble opening it.
I'm a repeat customer with Defender, and will continue to be. The refrig needs to ship freight, so factor some additional cost there. All and all I was satisfied. Ordered and received in 4 days, which seemed good for truck delivery to me.
I replaced the microwave too, and that required some instalation work. I needed to rip down the lower mount on a tablesaw. So far it is all is a success.
Ps my microwave display was also bad, so that made the replacement an easy decision.

I installed the DP2600 and had an issue with the DC not working. AC worked fine. Called the americas contact and they have immediately shipped out a replacement board. Great customer service so far. Let's see if I can get it installed easily. So far the fridge is working great-installed in early April.
