Does anybody know how to remove the water spots on the glass windows of a Sea Ray Sedan Bridge?

We've never been able to scratch glass with 0000 steel wool, even when we've tried hard to do that.
You're going to think I'm crazy :wow:, but if you can't remove those marks chemically, use 0000 steel wool...yes 0000 steel wool. My business is engraving blocks of optical crystal and when we get them from our Chinese manufacturer, there are often times marks left over from the polishing process and polishing compound. A quick swipe with 0000 steel wool and it's gone. 0000 steel wool is used for polishing wood to a satin finish, but it will not scratch glass...You can get it at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
MY BERTH HATCH COVER GLASS HAS SPOTS ON THEM..
TRYED EVERYTHING BUT THE 0000 STEEL WOOL
AND ARE OUR BOAT GLASS'S COATED/ TINTED???
I've read that a water-vinegar mix will remove spots from glass.
