WTF. These remote assemblies should be standard equipment. At least you can see your filter.
We will find out in the next few days but the plan is to install the Westerbeke adapter first without the 90 degree swivels ….with the male AN/pipe adapters in place.I assume you had to screw the oil filter adapter on first, then mount the right angle connectors, and then the cable, or did you actually have enough clearance to screw the thing on assembled? I'm sure I don't on the 7.0 BCG.
What year is that? Mine is a 2003 and it is laid out totally different. 7.0 BCGB. Is there a difference between the BCG and the BCGB?
Well ……I have a low profile BCDG 7.0.What year is that? Mine is a 2003 and it is laid out totally different. 7.0 BCGB. Is there a difference between the BCG and the BCGB?
I was just curious because my oil filter does not lay parallel with the engine but perpendicular so I don't have the same problem changing the filter.Well ……I have a low profile BCDG 7.0.
The starting place is your Operating Manual which will have the appropriate kit for a remote oil filter. It will be in the oil filter section of the manual.
Once you have that part number you can look up the kit on Westerbeke’s website.
Their kits run between $500-600 which is why I wanted an alternative.
Alternatively if your generator uses a Westerbeke 036918 oil filter the kit I have outlined will work.
