What one week in Florida Water does to your boat.

You do know that "Meridian" = "Bayliner"...

Your actually the second person to tell me this.

Did you know starting next year Meridians will be made out of the Sea Ray Plants?

And I've yet someone to explain to me how Maridian = Bayliner

They are all actually Brunswick boats.

Of course they're all Brunswick boat lines. That means nothing, other than they're owned by the same parent company.

Brunswick also owns Hatteras, Cabo, and Boston Whaler. To say that a "Meridian" is even in the same league as these lines (or Sea Ray, for that matter), is just nonsense.

I do better with some kind of proof then just word of mouth. Not saying I don't believe you I'd just like to have some facts on the whole matter.

Thanks chuck. I like hard evidence vs some random person that I don't know just saying "bayliner sucks, meridians are bayliners in disguise" and it's not that I don't believe them just having the facts it a much better way.

So after just glancing through those the first thing I saw that stood out was bayliner brand is gone and is now called Meridian so yes Meridians are bayliners EXCEPT that I also read in those articles where the quality has been improved and that fomer BayLiner owners would be shocked at the improvents in quality.

So, for now I say yes Merdians might be a new name for just for Bayliners but I think that the Quality of the Meridian is probably alot better then a bayliner especially if Brunswick is going to start making Meridians out of their Sea Ray plants.

Also if I can get a NEW Meridian for 70-80% off MSRP I might put up with a little let quality.

Note, the Bayliner brand still exists. They just spun the yachts off (35' and up) into Meridian.

Note that '07 44DAs certified pre-owned with warranty are selling for 350k

Interesting I'll have to check into that Thanks.

I'm actually still stuck on whether I like the dancer or the bridge boat better.

It's all in the name game. Once any product, brand gets the reputation of being a POS then there is nothing you can ever do to change that image in peoples minds. Marketing knows this and hence the name change and up grades. I like the looks of the Meridian Brand while I would never have given a Bay Liner a 2nd glance.

If you think that scum line is bad, try a week in the rivers of New Jersey. Like others have pointed out. Bottom paint if your leaving it in. Your anodes are doing what they are supposed to. I leave my boat in the water from 4/1-10/31 and I've had no problem with corrosion. I've had more issues with bellows than I've had with corrosion on my Bravo 3's.

Yea saw that. Looks nice but not as nice as the Meridian. Which I guess that's just me telling myself I like the bridge boat style better. There are actually some features on the meridians that I like that I've never seen on a sea ray which one is the built in fender compartments for stowing a fender on the aft of the boat on each side.
