What the hell did I buy?

Desert Rat I'd be careful about taking an issue with guys who clearly know a lot more than you do about boats and boating. Not that you asked, but the fact that you bought any boat sight unseen and really weren't sure what you were even getting speaks volumes to me about the fact that you don't even know what you don't know yet.

There's a difference between being constructive and lobbing a shot over the bow.

I've owned more boats than are parked in your marina. Literally 100s. At least 50 over 40ft. But admittedly rarely this old. I can rebuild this with my eyes closed. Same goes for my hot rods and houses. The thing is some off us are poor and scared. Some of us are hacks with no talent. Some of are simply whiny cunts. Like you and that other guy. You have never gotten a good deal, owned anything very cool or maid a mint on a watercraft. I simply asked what model it was. Most are weekenders. These are hardly anywhere to be found. And I got that response/confirmation quickly. And it turns out it was exactly what I thought. And a steal. 90% of boaters are awesome. 10% are you 's. Have a good day bozo

You just confessed to buying a boat without even knowing which model it is. If anyone's getting slapped in the face with a schlong in this thread, I think it might be you :)
Nah. Hit the jackpot per usual

You're off to a really good start. For someone so experienced in boats, you didn't know what it was? Really? If you haven't done a good check on the stringers, you may not have gotten the deal you think. Good luck with your project.

I can't wait until you have problems and start asking for help. lol
What a dipshit!

OK, if he is 70. that would be a different boat every year for ~50 years.
Yes, math was involved.
Clearly this guy is full of shat.
Ignored.
Name should be changed to "Peasant Lady"

So when I read the responses from this jackass I was trying to figure out who he reminded me of....then I remembered........

Not a single acknowledgement. Try harder.

Rat, I think you scored big time. Judging by the pictures, I doubt there is many problems with that boat. Nobody puts that kind of money and detail in an old boat unless it is solid. I can tell by the pictures, somebody put alot of passion into that Sea Ray.
well done my friend.
I pray we all win!!
