Yes.How much water should I expect to have in bilge with this boat? I had the bellows done in spring. Should I expect it to be dry other than what rain water finds it’s way into bilge?
The exhaust Y-pipe flange where it connects to the transom assembly is a known source of corrosion and leaks.Sopped up everything last nite that bilge pump could not get out. This am there was a very small amount of water in bilge. So I ran engine to see if that would produce more leakage and did not see any significant additional water. So…I’m thinking may have some slow block leakage possibly from a drain plug or a lower hose, or possibly some intrusion from gimbal housing gasket. That’s all I’m focusing on for now. Have heard the latter can be dealt with by sealing with a marine silicone the entire outer edge of lower unit housing where it meets transom. This assumes my mechanic did good job with all new bellows back in May. I’ll talk to him soon. He’s serviced this boat for last 8 yrs.or so.
So I tried to look up Searayman on eBay and only found lots of shirts. does anybody have a sellers link?Wow these bilge exhaust vents I got on eBay from Searayman are quite nice. Mine were brittle and faded, ready to pitch. Nice refit.
