There's a 450EB in my lake marina of my 1988 Sea Ray Sorrento I can snap a pic of soon.

Thanks Jack! When you have a chance, post up the number just underneath the HIN#. That is the internal Sea Ray number that tells us which boat yours was in 2002 in the production run.

The other 2002 boat on the registry has this number: SERP5484J102 450EB-511

It’s serial number “5484” is 7 boats after your boat, but the letter code “J” indicates this boat was built in October where your code is “K” built in November. It will be interesting to see if your boat is “450EB-510” based on the earlier serial number or “450EB-512” based on the month.

We tied up at Ballast Point but we walked down to Boathouse on the Bay. We had 14 people on the boat. We were celebrating the three 4-23 birthdays in our family, the Admiral and her twin boys. :)

After more than a few Google searches, I have come up with 26 HIN numbers for the 450EBs that were produced.
See page 1 for the list so far.

Thank you for the info on your boat! Here is the breakdown:

SER= vessel is a Sea Ray
P = boat built in Palm Coast FL plant
5438 = this is the serial number of the boat
I = boat was built in September
1 = boat was built in 2001
02 = manufactured as a 2002 model boat

We all know what was happening in the USA in September of 2001. I wonder if Sea Ray stopped production at all that month or if deliveries were delayed? I'm guessing you have a three stateroom model???

Edit: From the registry, your boat which was the 10th 450EB in the 2002 model year was built 45 boats before the next in production #511 October 2001. If production stopped or slowed down, it wasn't by much.

In my quest to find other 450EBs out there, I think I found one of the first off the line in March of 1998 with an HIN and 1998 model number. I thought after reading the old Yachting Magazine article that all of the 450EBs were 1999 models, even if they were built in 98 like my boat.
