Thanks in advance for any and all advice. I'm looking at a very clean, well loved, 2000 Sea Ray 380. 7.4L Gas. 330 hrs original total on each. Very long list of upgrades and maintenance completed by current owner. He's moving and needs to sell. Loaded question I know. Has the long list of receipts to show all work done to bring this boat back.

Boat valued by survey around $95k. Survey said Average to above on condition prior to current owner doing all upgrades. I've crawled all over the boat and it's tight. That said...

Can anyone give me a smart idea of an annual budgeted set aside to to keep this boat in great order? I'm in Key West and will normally keep her within 30 nm of Key West.

If I reading your post correctly the boat was rough and the current owner has put a lot of money and TLC into it? What has been replaced and when. The big thing is the exhaust manifolds and risers. How old is the hot water heater? Based on your post have you had the boat surveyed? I would not rely on the pervious owners survey. I would budget anywhere from $2500 to $5000 annually for maintenance. Depends on a lot of factors.

My general swag for slipped mid size cruisers is $1000 a month to own not counting any loan payments, fuel or repairs.

My wife would sooooo happy if that was my number. But I am an addict and may have a problem.
