2006 Sundeck 240 Instrument Panel Quit Working

This week the three gages on my 2006 Sundeck 240 instrument panel all quit working, with the exception of the tachometer analog indicator. The instrument panel quit working while I was under way. The panel consist of three gages, from left to right. 1. Analog speedometer 2. multi gage with 4 analog readings (oil press, water temp, trim position, fuel level) 3. Analog tach with digital SmartCraft gage. The digital screen on the SmartCraft gage is blank. All of the analog dial indicators on the other two gages appear to be locked in their position at the time of panel failure. Those analog dial indicators do not zero when the engine is shut off, nor when the batteries are turned off and back on. The analog dial indicator on the tachometer works. I've checked all fuses in the boat fuse block and none are failed. Anyone have any experience or suggestions on what my issue might be? Thanks in advance.
 
I had the same problem 2 years ago. 2007 240 Sundeck.

Go into the storage area in front of the helm. There is a round plug that connects 2 wire harnesses.

It has a collar that you twist and then disconnect the 2 parts.

Smear some dielectric grease on the contacts and reconnect it.

I haven’t had an issue since doing this.

I'm happy to report that, while I don't have and didn't apply dielectric grease, I found and disconnected the cable connector (rectangular in my case), which corrected all issues! I'll follow up with an application of dielectric grease. Thanks so much for sharing your fix!

Glad it worked for you!

Not too many things on a boat are solved with a such a simple task, but this is one of them.
