Hi all,
On a 2006 340 Sundancer I have 2 batteries on each side.
Which ones are for cranking the engines and which ones are deep cell for house??

easiest way to find out what is what is to disconnect a positive lead from a battery and see what works.
If battery`s are wires in parallel most likely there cranking on position 1 and house on position 2
other engine does not have the batterys parallel

I have a 2005 320 Sundancer and it has 2x12V (Starting/Cranking) Port batteries which start the port engine and the generator. The 4x6V (Deep Cycle) Starboard batteries start the starboard engine and also serve as the House Bank. Yours could be similar. But as BT Doctur stated the best way is to disconnect one bank and see what works and what doesn’t. I replaced all mine in the spring and did one bank at a time, and tested along the way. Oddly enough I did find that my port bank also powers the speakers in the cockpit.

Look at the batteries - it's very easy to tell a starting battery from a deep cycle.

As the B-ball coach said, typically the stbd side performs double duty as starting AND house.

You could look in the owner's manual, in the electrical diagrams section, to see how it came from the factory. It COUD be different, now. You can download the manual on SR's site if you don't have the original.

This is what is in our manual. Now I will say when I bough the boat two years ago, it had 27’s in it and I have kept it that way without issue. All are dc none are starting.
