Since gauges can be inaccurate or need to be calibrated, maybe you need to check them.Both. Pump stopped. Then slowly added until full.
It very possibly your cutlass bearing and packing providing the resistance. And another question.
With the tranny in neutral, engines off, of course, should the props spin freely or with much resistance? (V-drives)
I believe part of the reason for the difference is weight distribution. The generator is on starboard. When I pulled out my generator to repair it, the boat listed to the port. I did think the generator pulled the fuel for starboard tank. I am guess the thought of drawing the fuel supply from the larger tank was not considered to save the cost of fuel hose. The difference in weight is only about 35 pounds, but every pound counts when making sure a boat is on a even keel...Starboard 109 gallons Port 116 gallons.
Yes in my 2002 I removed my old fridge, and installed the new Vitfri all with out touching the cabin door.Needing to replace the cabin refrigerator, which is a Norcold DE441. Is there a replacement unit that will fit through the doorway of the '01 without removing the slider? Any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sammy
I have a 2002, 8.1 V drives, and did the smartcraft install so I can see live data fuel burn and Mpg.
dirt bottom .7mpg 3600 rpms. clean bottom paint and new tabs .85-0.9 if ligh on fuel.
the tanks are 109 and 116, which is backwards as the 109 is what the genny is pulling from.
the gauges on mine are off, when I get them ON E... they only take 75 gallons ish.. so there is a lot of safty from the fatoryon mine. most boats are off. you can pull the sending units and bend of adjust the floats... I did this on my last baja. E was E but it would stay on full for ever.
I have a 2000 Sundancer 340 and I am also having an issue with the aft cabin carpet being damp. Did you ever find out the cause of yours? Mine seems to be coming from the port side I am thinking from the head area.wow, amazing tip. i will check this weekend!
thanks!

Robert, what year 340 was this for?Chris,
I had a very similar if not exact problem as this. Looked everywhere but finally found it. Turned out to actually be the valve on the back of the vacuflush toilet. Not the part with the foot lever but the rinse valve that is on the "back" of the porcelein. You can't see it unless you remove the bowl. It simply "pushes" into its seat and can be removed by pulling it out. The valve itself is held by a hose clamp. These fail very easily and leak everytime the toilet is flushed. The water runs down the bulkhead and settles in the center of the aft area soaking the carpet. It appears like it might be coming from the sliding door during or after rain. It isn't. Check the valve. Goodluck.

Peter, Another possibility is the screw for your cockpit cover (if you use one)… I had a leak from a snap screw that made my carpet wet... I pulled all the screws and recaulked them... Other leaks, such as the shower sump will be noticeable in your aft bilge pump, but the carpet won't get wet...I have a 2000 Sundancer 340 and I am also having an issue with the aft cabin carpet being damp. I have checked the shpwer sump area and everything is dry there. There is no stains or marks of watwer coming from above atv all. I did open the compartment that is under the bottom step and the crpet in there is damp as well. Everything to me points to the Head area. Ive felt the shower drain hose from underneath and it seems dry.Peter, Another possibility is the screw for your cockpit cover (if you use one)… I had a leak from a snap screw that made my carpet wet... I had a leak from the window above the sink downstairs but took me time to find it because there was always water on the kitchen bench at the left near PowerPoint. thought the kettle was leaking but water travelled from window down the left above cupboards , down the wall where the head is and back out.I have checked the shpwer sump area and everything is dry there. Yes Vitrifrigio. Make sure to buy the flange kit and it fits exactly in place of the norcold. You can’t use the flange that comes with the Fridge. No issue getting through the doorNeeding to replace the cabin refrigerator, which is a Norcold DE441.
