About Gas prices!

Just for information the gas is now up to 2,35 usd /liter wich makes it almost 10usd /gallon and the diesel price is 10 cents more expensive per liter!
So i can only envy you that lives in the states!

Yep, it sure has. The arse has completely fallen out of the boating industry here, which is why i am now looking for a bargain. I can buy the same boat today for anywhere from a third to half price what they were from 6 months ago :grin: tho i do feel for the poor folks that HAVE to sell right now :smt009

I am hoping that come next season the weather will be better than it is now and also the fuel wont be so high. then i would have bought well

Here unleaded fuel is £1.15p per litre that breaks down as below

Fuel = 37.35p
Duty = 50.35p
Retailer = 10.17p
VAT (sales tax) 17.13p

So we are also charged VAT (Value Added Tax) on the fuel duty. You can see the majority of the cost goes in taxes :smt013 Remind me again what you guys did with our tea :grin:

If you want to get the attention of politicians, try sending them your used (dried) tea bags. I've done that to some who send requests for campaign contributions; I put the old tea bag in the postpaid reply envelope that they so thoughtfully provide with their request letter. Though this might be too subtle for some of our would-be and current office holders.
