Pete,
Where was your wife deployed?
Boat is on the hard. Next year in the water all year. Can't wait.

Heh, the launch areas here never really stop being busy. It is 74 outside today and the high this week could hit 80.

We are on the water all winter long... seatrials, surveys, delieveries, and breaking up the ice.

Merry Christmas!!

The Admiral and I are headed out tomorrow for a sunset/moonrise cruise. Should be a nice afternoon.

I should change my name to "Slippery when Frozen" this time of year...here is my driveway:

And a pic I snapped driving through a townhome development:

We took a friend's Carver 36 Aft Cabin for a cruise on the Red River yesterday. Temp was 82 with a breeze and sunshine. We take um when we get um.

More beach fun on Cayo Costa Island, North of Captiva Island. The ICW and Gulf have been just flat the last couple of days. The shelling has been great!

We are on the water and expect to be all winter :) Our location is Sanibel Island, Florida. It got just above 70 with a water temp of 57 today. The camper top helps us survive the cold

i will be on my almost boat Monday & Tuesday for surveys, sea trial, etc. I may just have to run back down next weekend to play on her! The big question is do I pick a time between winter storms and run her up the coast or truck her up so I can have her home right away so I can detail her, replace strataglass, and get used to her?

If you have the patience, wait and run her up the coast. It's a great trip. I have made it several times and always enjoy it. Just pick a weather window, you need two long days from Long Beach to the Gate. Let me know if you need any help :smt038

That would 2 real long days I imagine! I was thinking more like this:

Day-1: Newport Beach to Santa Barbara

Day-2: Santa Barabara to Monterey or Santa Cruz

Day-3: Moneterey through the golden gate and to Iselton

I would need a window of a good 5 days to be comfortable enough to run her up. Thanks for the offer to help, I will be asking for as much as I can get if I decide to run her up on her own bottom. There are several experienced guys in the Sea Ray Club that have offered to run up with me as well.

We'll stay on our boat for New Years, no driving after the party for us! (Party at the Club). Then we're hoping to make a run to downtown Portland on New Years Day and spend the night, home on Sunday. Short, but oh so sweet! It's been about a month since we've gone out for a boat ride!

we're still getting some nice days on the water.

just wonder if anyone else is. i like this time of year. its nice and quiet.

Beautiful water.....how deep is it??? and does that water stay that smooth always on nice days??

Planning a trip to St Marrtin......I know rub it in, sorry FL is to dam cold!!
