I cannot imagine having a boat that far. Mine is 8 miles/15 mins away.
I don’t know how you guys do it having a boat that far.
Mines terrible compared to yours: 12 miles/20 minutes.

Think nothing of driving over after dinner for a drink and sunset. :)

Breaking news Honda just announced their USCG Marine rated new generator:

This actually is a Marine Generator made by Paguro. It is the Paguro 6000 5.5 kw generator. See .....you guys thought I was fooling you.......it will only set you back $11k.

It works just the way they want it to. You must be a climate denier. :)
I'm going for two for two.

Covid was a Hoax 1 as proven by Fauci who started, funded and lied about it. Liberals wanted to lock up people like me because I didn't believe in masks.

Climate Change is Hoax 2..... Remember who pushed this in the US: AOC and the Justice Democrats with the purpose of redistributing wealth. They can rewrite history all they want but liberals will use anything they can to take wealth and power away from those that rationally disagree with them. I believe in Weather.

This is why I strategically slipped my boat 2.5 hours away from the house. Close enough for the rare family trip, but far enough away to give me man-cave time.
I hate the fact I have to walk around to my garage from the dock in a project, I’d hang it up if I was that far away

It certainly puts a damper on owning a boat. My boat is 15 miles away docked in DC and I live in Virginia. It's not like Virginia doesn't have facilities but anything available (other than Columbia Island) is much further away. The nice part of having the boat in DC is that we have real estate downtown which requires frequent visits so it is in a perfect place .....for us.

I have a lot of respect for the folks who drive hours to get to their boats......that is commitment.

Just the HOA-esque rules in this town make it difficult to care for it even if I can skirt around the guidelines and do it on my own property. Always the big rush because code is always lurking and some snowbird always wants to call the town. I’m amazed how many people get butthurt about seeing a well-kept boat on a trailer a week or two at a time after moving to “the boaters’ paradise”

I don’t know how some guys do it, keeping them at the marina and having to pay for everything. We went from using the boat three or four times a week when I lived in Jersey and it was at my parents house 3 blocks away, to maybe once a week when it was in the slip down here 8 miles away.

I am amazed people actually vote for her. I read recently the founding fathers never intended for everyone to vote. It was originally planned for only the land owners. They thought the unwashed masses were too stupid to be trusted with a vote.
They were 100% right.
They also originally banned solicitors a.k.a lawyers from holding office

I have been told I should be committed for owning a boat....

I have gotten used to it. I just load my car up with everything I need a drive into the high and dry and park next to my boat. I bought garage last year and keep spares, fluids and tools there. If I forget something it is just 100 yard walk to my garage. That said, I would love to have my boat on a lift in my backyard. That just isn't possible where I currently live. But if I can talk my wife into moving south after her dad and my mom pass, a home on a canal will be a priority.

If she wins and we move to the lake full time, I will get a fishing boat to use when the high and dry is closed so I have a boat to use on the nicer days and I don't have to fret winterization.
