Looking for someone's experience for this type of material. Im thinking of installing it with glue in the cabin of my 340 Sundancer - How did it hold up, was it easy to clean etc, etc, Anybody?

It's been used for years in the cockpit of many different boats... Sea Ray's, pontoons, etc. It's very durable. Being used in the cabin is certainly "lighter duty" than out in a cockpit. Yes, plenty of experience with it - easy maintenance, too.

I replaced my carpet with Infinity flooring that @Quint4 made for me. It was snap in though. The woven PVC material is awesome though. I can tell you first hand that blood washed right off. And it is a comfortable floor to sit on while having a heart attack...

Yep, we have it in the cockpit and so far I like it. Cleans up easily, doesn’t get too hot, looks good.

It's a very good product and as was mentioned it is outdoor rated. There is also a similar line of teak available from Infinity. The Corinthian does have a yarn woven in with the Vinyl where as the Infinity is all vinyl. We are dealers for both product lines and have worked with both.

As far as the install with glue option - a lot would depend on what you are envisioning as your "finished" project. With either product there is going to be a rough edge that more than likely you will want finished. For that we would normally install an edge binding for snap in mats. For the interior, you are going to have to deal with your hatches and the trim around them.

Your options for the install would be to (1) possibly install over the existing carpet and just use as a snap in, (2) remove the carpet and enlarge/flush-up the hatches and then install over fiberglass as a single mat or (3) Similar to #2 but install as sections and finish trim the edges around any hatch.

Keep in mind the removal of carpet, dealing with the hatches and the leveling of the floor is one of the detractors to cabin carpet replacement. Its time consuming and if you are leveling and sanding.

The one nice thing about making it into a single mat that covers all is that if/when it gets dirty or something spill on it you could just take it out and hose it down, let dry and snap back in!

If you want more info you can send me your info on our website www.covemarine.com.

I installed that in my cockpit upper area and it's great, but I don't think I would use it in the salon area. It has a rubber backing so not too sure how that would react to glue. This is snapped in.

I have the templates for the cabin of a 340DA (2003-2008). It snaps over the existing carpet just like the factory Sunbrella fabric runners. Here are a few pics.

Thank you everyone for the input, pics and comments. Your boats looked really good and are greatly appreciated! Now wife and I choosing colors is the next hurdle.

I actually think it looks good inside. Thinking of doing it instead ripping out the old carpet.

@Quint4: How did you do those covers on the steps (are they glued/snapped?). The factory plastic finish of the steps is slippery for dog paws, and material in the top picture looks like it has way better traction.

We had a cardboard box of samples before we picked this color….. then you have to pick the binding…. Omg.
I made the pattern really tight and not one piece moved…. a year later I put the Velcro pads down that came with …no reason just had them….. it’s been great for 3 years now

I did exactly what Blue did and love it! No more snaps.
The velcro would work well on the steps...
