Anyone find the best source for raw water antifreeze? That stuff has tripled in price over the past 8 years. I use about 15 gals every fall.

West Marine will do free delivery over $100 and has -50,-60,-100,-200 flavors for fair market price.

For everything other the engines Walmart has the RV stuff for under $4. The engine AF is running around $7 for -50*.

i use the pink stuff from walmart, everywhere. live in new york never had a problem. engines, fresh water system toilets, u name it, it gets pinked up. no problems ever. been doing this for 15 years.

Your best source is likely going to be local as shipping might be expensive due to weight.

As Hotdoddie was eluding to, though, you don't need the more expensive stuff that is formulated for engines (the less expensive stuff can actually cause corrosion in engines). It's not the "end of world" to use the wrong stuff - it's more of a cumulative thing - but might as well use the right stuff.

However, don't judge the jug simply by whether it says "RV" or has a picture of a boat on it. It's the chemical makeup that is important.

For ENGINES, it shouldn't have ethyl alcohol in it (or similar terminology). It must be propylene glycol. For water systems, EITHER formulation is fine - so might as well get the less expensive stuff (ethyl alcohol).

Also... don't judge it by color alone. Both styles can be pink.

WM ARE A BUNCH OF WHORES....sorry to be blunt but they are.
Yep, I stay away almost always, but this year they beat my local marina on proper engine antifreeze by quite a bit of $$, so I guess I paid the whore.

They likely still had leftover from last year sitting a big warehouse somewhere :) Still works, though.

West marine can be useful if u know someone with a pro account and can get discounts, also they will sometimes price match items, which can be very helpful if u wanna order an item like a fridge, and there’s a freight charge from an online site. U can have it price matched then drop ship it to west marine location and the shipping is free. So that’s nice. Could save u couple hundred on a freight charge.

Walmart

I ordered some online last year from Home Depot and had it delivered for free.

If the jug is labeled “FLAMMABLE” do not use it inside your engine. Alcohol is not good for it.

Their prices on many things have actually been pretty market competitive lately. I always do a price compare, and recently they have been at or below prices on Amazon for many not all, be certainly many.

^^^ This. Same here. Don't waste your money.

$3.49 at Tractor Supply.

That's probably for the fresh water system AF? That should NOT be used in the engine - it can cause corrosion. The OP specifically asked about the raw water system.
WM has propylene glycol for $6.99.
