Buying Advice 2006 Sundancer260

Yeah, from the pictures it looks pretty dirty, only by you seeing it in person can you know if it can be cleaned up. It doesn't look neglected, just dirty. I would pay particular attention to the outdrive. Hard to tell how bad from the growth, but it has some corrosion going on. No pictures of the engine room?

That boat looks filthy to me. I'd be embarrassed to have a boat that looked like that, and to try selling one that looked like that. It makes me wonder how well he kept it up maintenance wise.
It'd be a hard pass for me. There are too many 260's out there for sale.
I had an 06 260 for several years, it was a good boat. The people that bought it had been looking for five years.

it does look like an easy pressure clean, maybe some recanvasing and a little upholstery touch up. later on work on some cabin work

My bad I didn’t see the second part! Yeah is definitely an easy pressure wash, 1 or 2 days of pressure washing new tops and a few new cushions will make her look brand new. Also I wasn’t able to get into the engine, there wasn’t any power to the boat there will be on Tuesday when we go survey

You're surveying in the cold? Moving it inside?

I have a wild suggestion - bring a pressure washer with you to the survey. Blast a small spot on the foredeck and see what you think. Hopefully that's just normal dirt up there and not something worse.

A few years back I was in a storage building where a guy sanded off his bottom paint. It ended up airborne and coated every boat in that building. It was awful, absolutely awful, not even remotely close to a power wash activity.

Run forest run…. That boat is not taken care of …. So what else was never taken care of?….. the tinted windows would be a first no…. There are a lot of 260’s around for $50k that would be prestine….. don’t start out like this example
Plus, you’re already saying you want a bigger boat…. Rest a year or two then buy the bigger boat or take the hit and do it now
