OK....so the admiral put in the "clean out the garage" order....and I decided to have some fun on ebay......among a few other things that I have, I listed a compass from my '98 330DA......
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MESE:IT&viewitem=&item=290113603313&rd=1,1

....and in my description I thought I'd just get a little humorus....then I get this question.....

Q: Is the compass stuck at North..? Is it still filled with oil..? May-07-07

And I replied nicely....

A: The compass is in perfect working order and is completely filled with oil. I was only joking in my description about the compass facing north since 2001....it is not stuck...just my humor..lol

What I really wanted to say was "damn straight it's stuck on north....that's what compass' do".....but I didn't think it would help make the sale.....

Thereyou go, trying to make em think! :smt101

Will it work ok south of the equator?

How often did you change the oil?

Did you use synthetic oil so it would move back to north faster?

I just hope the thing isn't a metric compass!

Hmmmmm.....I wonder which way it points when I change the boats heading to south..... :smt017

North...NORTH...It's a compass......IT ALWAYS POINTS NORTH......

Man...I must be bored today.....slow day in the office....

Hey OSD9,
You're not going to make a dent in the garage if that's the only thing you're moving out

Ever since my son bought me the lighthouse refridgerator magnet and stuck it next to the compass one winter, my compass always points westerly.

If you have all three of those guys showing up, have the Admiral distract them and then throw all of your stuff in their vans.
Done Deal! Clean garage and no Dump fees

Oh God, don't get me started on this one.

The other 4 members of my family do not share my guilt when it comes to spending money, as evidenced by the caravan of delivery trucks that troop down my street each evening.

I have to set my firewall at home to filter out Neiman Marcus, Saks, American Eagle, Hollister, Omaha Steaks, anything to do with wine, and anything to do with shoes, and I'll be able to afford a heck of a lot more diesel fuel.

I wonder if you throw these things into a Giant blender and let it ferment it will create "BUY"-o Diesel? I'm sure if you have daughters the Hollister shirt of today will be "SO" old by July......put it in your tank and see what happens

Ahem... didn't you just buy a new boat?

sooooo.... what's your point?

My point is that you must be wracked with guilt!

Busted. That must be why I can't sleep anymore.

Funny thing - diesel/salt air mixture is about the only thing that seems to help.
