Has anyone had experience with marinco eel power cords? I need to replace one of my power cords and have read the eel cords have a larger diameter head. I wonder if there are issues fitting it through the cord port on the transom. Would not be good if the plug did not feed through the opening on the stern.

I have 2 short ones that I use from the electrical box to the transom. The fit through the access hole in the transom of my 390DA. This way I leave the long cords on the boat and the shorties on shore. They are just long enough to reach inside the rear locker. The clips don't lock on anything using the old cords. Apparently there's a fitting that will allow the clips to lock.

I believe they will clip onto the collar that you would normally put between two standard marinco plugs.

The EELs are a lot easier than twisting the retention rings.

I went EEL a while back, love 'em, and continue to invest in their gear. I've got multiple sets of their cords, convertors, adapters, etc.

If for nothing else - having that LED on both ends of the cord is shockingly useful.

I also like the waterproof rings you can buy for them. At my home dock I run two short sets of cords. One never leaves my pedestal, the other never leaves my transom locker. I connect them in the middle (on the swim platform) using the water proof ring sets. Super easy, super quick.

Love my Eel Cord I used as a travel cord as it comes on a plastic reel. Now bigger boat, adding a second for a tavel cord. Love the leds on the end!
