Well, pulled the boat today. Buffed it, waxed it, winterized, cleaned the interior, all packed up for winter.
Having a boat and a place on the water was a godsend for sanity this year. Great way to relax and stay socially distanced. The weather was as good as it has ever been this summer so we had a ton of use.
Until next year.....

We do too.

Pulled out 2 weeks ago, winterized and shrink wrapped. So sad... but I had other obligations that kept me from fall boating.

I think you pulled out premature :). We are going out next weekend to the island and play it by ear after that.... it’s some of the best boating this time of year not crowded... cool weather.. we just love it
I concur.

Agree, but I have a back procedure next week and will be out of commission for 2 weeks after. So, this was the only timing that worked this year.

Last year I put the boat on the hard early so my wife and I could take a 2 week vacation to Spain. Nothing fun like that happening this year :(. However, I pulled the boat early this year to have our glass guy recore the deck under the windlass. My marine insurance surveyor found moisture levels elevated and told me that the glass guy in our marina is the best in Ontario and recommended I get it fixed. Its been a bit soft for a couple of years and so I am biting the bullet to get it done this fall so its done. He has done a lot of late 90s Sea Ray decks and does it from the top. I looked a couple he did and its almost impossible to see the repair. The grit non-skid makes it very easy to repair compared to diamond pattern non-skid. I will post pictures once its done.

Weather has been cool and mostly windy on Georgian Bay since its been out, so I don't feel I am missing much.

Deciding on when to go into winter storage is location specific. Glad to know you're lucky enough to have consistent good weather. We came out two weeks ago as well. Largely for non boating related issues, although the NOAA marine forecasts for the effects of Teddy (9' seas) made the decision easier. Last year we stayed in until just before Columbus Day and had a perfect day for haul out. A week later things weren't so good. Friends who stayed in the marina another week until closing who store where we do had to find temporary dockage because bad weather had by then made the trip impassable. One of those boats lost a Freedom lift and swimplatform when the boat came loose and slammed against the dock during the storm that had everyone socked in.
