Hello everyone,
I have a 2007 185 Sport with a 3.0L engine. There are 40 hours on the boat. At 20 hours, we had a full service done by Sea Ray mechanic.
Today while out in the water, the engine alarm started going off and would not stop. The boat was fine for about an hour. We stopped to put a skier in the water and turned the engine off for about 2 minutes. Once we restarted the engine, the engine alarm would not shut off.
I check the following items:
1. Engine oil level (was fine)
2. Engine temperature (was normal at about 190)
3. Drive oil level (was full)
4. Engine oil pressure (was normal at 40 PSI)
This happened last weekend while doing the same thing, stopping then starting the engine again, however the alarm stopped going off after about 30 seconds. This time it would not stop.
I am tempted to replace the alarm module. Is this most likely the problem?
Thanks for your help!
