Found a really nice 2001 280 da with faux teak decking. Any experience with that, especially in terms of how it holds up after much cleaning? Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I really like it. I'll search those terms. If you do a search for "seadek" or "eva foam" you'll find plenty of threads.
I personally wouldn't judge a boat's purchase worthiness based on it's flooring. Brand new snap-in carpet can be had for sub $1000. Worst case you could pull out the faux teak and put a quality set of carpet in.
Looks great! I'll try and get brand.Probably depends on the brand... I have Aqua Marine Deck and its easy to clean, holding up well so far (installed end of last season), and feels great on the feet!View attachment 56757
I'll try and send a pic. Thanks!Holds up well.
Is it a DIY job or does it look professionally installed?
Some DIY jobs look terrible an probably would lesson the price of the vessel.

I added the seadek faux teak to my cockpit and swim platform this season . it looks great so far, but dirt tends to stick to it, so I constantly have to vacuum it. It will kind of chip in high traffic areas if you are not careful with street shoes. I am very happy with it though. I also liked the real teak that I see on ebay, but it cost about $1700 for the cockpit and swim platform, so it is about a third the price of real teak.Found a really nice 2001 280 da with faux teak decking. Was wondering that myself...Looks real nice, wonder why it's been on the market since 12/2016 though?
Good info. Am going to try and avoid dirty street shoes as much as possible. thank you, I went with Seadek. they had the template already for the sundancer 280da so I didn't have to make them myself, otherwise you have to use a plastic film to create the size and shape of each piece. They shipped the finished pieces in about 4 weeks, and the install was easy, just peel and stick after cleaning the surfaces with acetone. It sticks instantly, so try no to let the piece touch the surface until it is perfectly lined up or it is a little touch to unstick and reposition it. I don't know how others are, but the seadek is comfortable to walk on even on a really hot day. What brand did you use?
I wouldnt install it new but thanks! We plan to fish so a bare floor is best. Per Stee6043, I'm not going to walk away due to flooring. Who makes the snap-in vinyl product?View attachment 56777
Another option is to go with “snap in” vinyl flooring. There is a wide variety of colors and styles available and you can pick it up on the days you go fishing. I had nothing on my old boat and I was constantly cleaning footprints and other dirt off the deck.
One of the first things I did when I got this boat was order the vinyl flooring. I got the teak style, and put it down with Velcro so I didn’t have to install snaps. I love it! It does get hot on bare feet in direct sunlight, but that’s a small price to pay.
