WA is #36. No big surprise there, we have one of the most liberal states and one of the most liberal governors and attorney generals in the country.

Like many states, 3 counties in this state determine the direction of politics. Sucks for the rest of us but not much we can do about it.

PA #20. We have 2 counties that control the whole state (Allegheny and Philadelphia). That would be Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. I don't have many complaints except for the gas taxes and toll rates (well the potholes suck too...lol). Pittsburgh mayor Bill Potatohead (Peduto) is a moron so I'm glad I don't live under his jurisdiction. He has made some pretty dumb decisions since taking office. And Governor Tom Wolf is even worse.

I don't see how this can be right. It ranks Montana as #16 and I'm pretty sure we are the free'est of all states!!!!! I can drive around with a loaded gun and a beer in the car while hunting!!!!! Let's see Florida do that!!! lol

Agreed! I'm in Florida and the culture is changing quickly, I predict it will become much more liberal / restrictive when a new governor enters. That said, I don't find much restriction on boating which is great!

That’s all my neighbors that have moved down there changing things for you.
They fled here because of high taxes caused by expensive liberal policies put in place by politicians they voted in to office, and now they’re moving down to Florida and North Carolina and repeating the same mistakes.
Blame your local real estate developers and agents who keep enticing them.
