2000 Sundancer 340 - Fresh water fitting on the pressure side of my Shurflo 2.8 GPM pump is starting to leak. Pump is cycling every 15-20 minutes from slow drip. 90 degree elbow with brass fitting to pump and a "quick connect" fitting to original blue water pipe. Anyone have any ideas as to size and best source? Probably need a handful now that one is going. Thanks.

It's either 15mm or 1/2" - look on the pipe. Don't trust what your owner's manual/parts manual says (nor other 340DA's). There were sometimes mid-model year changes along with differences based on where the boat was built.

You didn't mention where exactly it's leaking, but remove, inspect and reseat.

Fresh water systems dot com is a good source.

The “quick connect” is leaking (on the “quick connect” side).

I’ll assume it’s 15mm. What I have done several times with success is pull the tubing out and using a razor knife cut it back approximately 1/2 inch. This usually gets past the area where the o-ring seals on it. If the o-ring is still in tact, this may stop the leak.
Just remember to pull the tube out, you must push it in, then with one hand hold the outer collar surrounding the tube in while you then pull the tube out.

I remember seeing those fittings at west marine if you have to replace it.

My advice would be to try cutting the tube first.

Got it. Inspect/reseat. If it's rough, try doing what BB said. Fittings aren't that expensive, though... and you should get another 20 years out of it.

Checked and re-checked. 1/2 NPS on the Shurflo water pump into 15MM SeaPex Flexpipe. This is the fitting that is leaking (down on the compression where the blue pipe comes in):
Any idea what I need? - Looks like two pieces.

Good. You've got the sizes - also good!

I see so many of these things I forget about the bronze "extension" piece - it's been a while. From your picture, it looks like you may not even need it? The quick disconnect fittings come apart very easily - remove the C-clip, compress the "lip" and pull the pipe out.

Go the website I mentioned and you can probably find a new fitting (w/o the bronze piece... still assuming you don't need it) for under $10.

Its one piece. I have bought them from Amazon, but our marina chandlery sells them too. You are correct that more will start to leak. I have had to start replacing various fittings in the bilge on my 1997. Same as you, they start to leak. Replacing them is easy. Finding them in stock is harder. On-line is easier.
