True story; I have a work mate with an Affenpinscher ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affenpinscher) that was mental for laser beams. This dog had a battering ram for a head. When shining the light at the end of the couch, the dog would ram it hard enough that he could bump it along the hardwood floor. While watching tv, Larry shines the laser on his wife's side-boob. Yes, he got punched for that one. Another time, Larry wakes up in the middle of the night with the dog standing on his chest where he apparently sees something reflecting off of Larry's eyes. The next morning, Larry comes in with two black eyes!

We had gotten out the pet business when the last one died a few years ago, because it limited our ability to travel, stay over on the boat, etc.

Then this kitten showed up at our empty lot across the street where we park the boat. Doubt it was old enough to even have been weened. No clue where it came from, or how he got there. Was trying to catch lizards to stay alive. Took as about a month moving his food bowl a few feet at a time to get him to our back porch where we ultimately trapped him and took him to the vet to get fixed. Only then did we find out he was a she. Too late, he was already named Nelson. Neighbor said, "you'll have to call her Nellie". I said bull shit, if any of her future friends ask about her name, she can tell them that Dad really wanted a boy. She's about 2 now and sweet as could be.
 
I think you're an awesome person for rescuing that cat I have a mother and the two daughters that I rescued from the back of a car about 2 and 1/2 years ago and they're doing awesome You are a good person
