Swim Platform Gennys for sale at Harbor Freight... ONLY $250...

Bungee cords extra?

You guy do realize that there are now about 14,000 inexperienced Sea Ray owners feverishly dialing up Harbor Freight to place their orders for the CSR approved swim platform generator don't you?

Just thinning the herd, one dumb-arse at a time.

Need to hit the sarcasm key on the keyboard.

Yet another reason for a "like" button on CSR.

I am going to sell my Kohler 5ecd and then use the proceeds to buy this.

The thing's huge...5.5 hp- and only 2.2 KW? Must have been a Chinese factory closeout on cheap lawnmower engines...

Why in the world pair such a large engine with so tiny a back end? That thing will barely run two power tools while sucking enough gas to power 6.

Come to think of it, I guess it's a perfect fit for those that want a generator on their swim platform.

What type of oil should I use in my Harbor Freight Generator? Synthetic? Amsoil?

Fortunately, on my 340, the swim ladder is in the center. So I think I can get two of these bad boys on my swim deck and run "twins". Just like the main engines. Yea baby!

I will just make up some cables and plug them right into the standard shore power connectors. One generator for each connector. Should be sah-weeeet!

Shore power cords are expensive.

Just buy two of the $.99 regular cords at harbor freight, cut them in half and splice the wires together so you have a cord with a male plug at each end.

Plug one end into the generator and the other into an outlet on your boat.

Bingo, your boat has power!

(PS: Just in case someone out there does not get it, this tread is a joke!)

Regarding horsepower, I'm guessing they use the same engine to power most of their line of generators, and the cost increases are directly proportional to the kW output. Good way to mass produce with minimal production change.

Scott, when you mount it up on the arch, be sure to rake it back a bit for that "slick" appearance. Also, you don't want it to hit any low bridges.

BTW, Chuck Husick says this whole process is A-OK in his column in BOAT/US mag. :-0

Anything with the name/word "Chicago" on it we all know runs forever...

Obviously, they inadvertently left off a zero on the price...

Darn, I don't have a Radar Arch...:smt009 would be too much engine to put in my engine bay?
