How's your marina's security?

Our security force is in full effect -

We have liveaboards on every pier. Some marinas don’t allow LAB, but you cant get a better security system. These people know and watch everything.
I dont even have to get there in extreme high tides. They adjust everyone lines.
 
Tom, I'm thinking regular hull cleaning is necessary where you are. How do the local divers deal with your "guards" or do you not have that option for cleaning?

Yes I have a diver clean the hull every three weeks.
I'm pretty sure he has a working agreement with the Gator Union local 486 steward.

I’m curious how they do this when those critters can attack under water.

I remember years ago a story...a woman was cleaning the hull and a large barracuda nailed her arm doing major damage. They thought the shiny scraper she was using attracted the barracuda, kind of an accidental chomp.

If you swim in any water with barracuda they tell you to take off all your jewelery or they will get you!

Alligators evolved in North America and unlike their cousin in Africa Mr. Crocodile who evolved with us these guys are unaware how tasty humans are and unless you are feeding them, they mostly will leave you alone.
I'm sure you could get some nice boots out of them along with tasty gator bites but your game warden would probably frown upon this.
 
When my parents moved to Florida, my sister (who already lived there) put a very real looking, 6' inflatable gator in their new back yard.

When my mom came out with her coffee the next morning she nearly died.

Well, there’ve been several news articles about alligators attacking children — and adults— in this country, so I’m not sure I’d stake my life on that……..

Going out of the canal one day, I saw a guy in one of the other marinas chasing geese away with a rake.

A few hours later, coming back in I saw the same guy getting chased all over the place by about 40 geese.

It was hysterical.
