Here is a link to the salvage company that is handling a lot of the damaged boats from Ian. If you need parts or a project.
Click on "Assets" at the top of the page to pick what size category you want to look at. The yard is just south of Punta Gorda, but they do show some boats from other locals.

They're not selling parts, and no tools allowed on site. Read the fine print in their disclaimer. 3 to 4 months to receive the title and they don't mention it but the insurance co. own the boats so I would assume it's going to say salvage on it.

Looks like anything worth buying is already pending.

When you buy the boat you can take all the parts you want off of it.

Crazy no one sets up a salvage parts company to part out totalled boats. I could use a pair of 22x22 props. Many of the totalled boats are no longer made so all kinds of parts are wanted.

My marina is owned by a private salvage company. Recently bought. Nice guy.
We have a lot of derelict sunken junk salvaged boats come thru.
All I know is all metal must come off before crushed and sent to landfill. They won’t sell pieces parts. Goes to scrapyard recycle to become Chinese refrigerator. I have scrounged a few items, after dark, when no one around. Guessing same with this place.
I suspect this is not a Crazy Rays U Pick It kind of place.

I don't understand why they would not "part out" these boats like they do cars? There are so many people looking for windshields, seats, swim platforms, engine vents, hatches, doors and so on. Very confusing...

Because when they're done with the limited parts they can pull off of it, they still need to dispose of the hull and that's not cheap or easy. How much do you think they can make off of some parts? And look at what they are asking for the damaged boat. A lot more then the parts would be and they get rid of the hull.

Cars when completely stripped still bring in scrape and go to the recycling yard, done.
